Frequently Asked Questions

Our morning program runs from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. For Dolphin Senior, the program runs until 2:00 PM as part of their elementary school preparation.

For children enrolled in daycare, parents may choose a preferred pick-up time, such as 3:00 PM or 4:00 PM, with the latest pick-up time being 6:00 PM.

A 30-minute grace period is given for all scheduled pick-up times.

We can receive children from 7:45 AM onwards for parents who require an earlier drop-off.

We accept children from as young as 18 months to 6 years old. We have four groups:

Angelfish: Mixed-age group for children aged 18 months to 3 years
Starfish: 3 to 4 years old
Dolphin Junior: 4 to 5 years old
Dolphin Senior: 5 to 6 years old

As for the child-to-teacher ratio:

  • Angelfish (1.5 to 3 years old): 5:1
  • Starfish (3+ to 4 years old): 10:1
  • Dolphin Jr (4+ to 5 years old): 12:1
  • Dolphin Sr (5+ to 6 years old): 12:1

If your child is unwell, we encourage them to rest at home until they have recovered. Children with contagious illnesses may only return with a doctor’s clearance letter.

If a child develops a fever at school, parents will be contacted for immediate pickup. With parental permission, fever medication may be administered while waiting. The child will be comfortably cared for in our isolation room by a teacher until they are collected.

Our latest daycare pick-up time is 6:00 PM, with a 30-minute grace period before late pick-up charges apply.

We understand that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances can happen. In such situations, we will assess each case with understanding, and late charges may be waived.

Naturekids is a play-based, hands-on preschool that focuses on nature, values, creativity, and meaningful learning experiences.

We do not follow one specific teaching method. Instead, we incorporate elements from different approaches, including Reggio-inspired learning, practical life activities, and activities that develop fine and gross motor skills.

As children grow, we gradually introduce reading and writing in a developmentally appropriate way to help prepare them for a smooth transition to primary school.

We first take the time to understand what happened before responding. If necessary, the child may have a short time-out to calm down. The teacher will then discuss the situation with the child, helping them understand their actions, the consequences, and what they can do differently next time.

Parents will also be informed. If an incident involves two children, both sets of parents will be kept informed.

The children usually shower before nap time and go to sleep around 1:30 PM, waking between 3:00 and 3:15 PM.

We are also happy to accommodate individual sleep routines. For example, if parents prefer their child to nap for a maximum of one hour, our teachers will gently wake them at the requested time.

Our fees are charged by term, with each term lasting 4 months. Alternatively, you may choose a monthly payment plan.

We offer flexible enrolment options of 3 to 5 days per week to support children as they adjust to their school routine.

For reference, our half-day program is RM1,200 per month for 5 days a week, plus an RM80 monthly materials fee. Daycare after 1:00 PM is charged at RM7 per hour, with a 20% discount for pick-up at 5:00 PM or later.

Upon request after the school tour, we will provide the full fee structure and a simulated invoice based on your preferred enrolment option, including daycare charges and any applicable promotions.

We have CCTV cameras in all classrooms and at the front and back entrances. However, for the safety and privacy of our children and families, the footage is for internal use only and is not available for live viewing.

The recordings can be reviewed when necessary to investigate incidents and help ensure the safety and well-being of everyone at the school.

We use the TwinkLinc childcare management app, which can be downloaded on your mobile phone.

Teachers provide daily updates, including photos and videos of the children’s activities, meals, nap times, and other routines.

Parents are also welcome to speak with teachers during drop-off or pick-up. For important or urgent messages, parents can WhatsApp the school principal directly for a faster response.

Yes, no problem! We accept children who are still wearing diapers and also support toilet training.

When a child is developmentally ready, our teachers will discuss it with the parents and work together with the family to begin the toilet-training process at school.

In the meantime, children in diapers will follow our regular diaper-changing routine throughout the day.

We are a nature-inspired preschool and an advocate for “Natural Learning” with educating “the whole child” at the core of our teaching principles.
